The TROOPER is a great running vehicle.  We originally purchased this vehicle to take a summer road trip and plans changed.  We’re selling it because we both work Downtown and don’t need two vehicles.  It’s free of any major defects, has a clean title history.  The paint, body and interior have only minor blemishes and there are no major mechanical problems.  No rust and the tires have substantial tread wear left.  The odometer is at 152k+ so we rounded up to 153k.  I believe the TROOPER would fall into the GOOD category using the Kelly Blue Book value.  

There have only been two owners of this vehicle.  The first owner purchased the vehicle in 2000 and kept it for almost 8.5 years.  The second owner purchased the vehicle @ 144,710 miles and used it as a commuter car; very little driving (less than 5k miles/year). 

As a side note, we also have a 1999 Rodeo that we purchased new.  We haven’t had to replace any major parts and with regular maintenance I’m sure this vehicle can last as long as our Rodeo which is at 210k miles and counting.

Possible Vehicle Maintenance

v  Driver side window brackets aren’t connected to the power window control so window has trouble rolling up/down. 

v  The C D changer doesn’t work but we do have a used RCA stereo/CD player that’s compatible with MP3/iPhone/iPod that we purchased for the TROOPER that’s included in the sale.

v  Crack in the windshield

v  Check engine light stays on. When it was diagnosed we believe it has something to do with recycling exhaust/fuel efficiency and were quoted $600 to repair.  This doesn’t/hasn’t affected the way the vehicle runs.  Our Rodeo has had this same problem after hitting 80,000 miles.
