IDEAL 18 SAILBOAT
The Ideal 18 is a fun day sailor designed by Bruce Kirby for simplicity, comfort and performance. The boat can be raced or cruised. It is easy to rig and sail solo. The full battened mainsail is easy to set and furl. The roller furling jib is self tacking. It has an Eight foot cockpit with full length molded bench seats with comfortable angled backs. The boat could accommodate four adults comfortably. The small cuddy can stow gear . The fin keel is 700 pounds providing great stability. Sails are in great shape.
This 1995 Ideal 18 features new Flag Blue Awlgrip topsides, white Awlgrip boot stripe and gold leaf cove stripe. All repairs and paintwork have been done professionally by a reputable boat yard.
The bottom is sprayed VC Offshore Antifouling paint with Teflon. It is Very smooth.
The trailer is ?homemade?. It has fresh black paint, keel tray, adjustable screw jacks.
An outboard motor and bracket could be added. The Bracket is available from the manufacturer. A new hull alone costs over $21000. This is a beautiful boat and very unique sail boat!
