HP PAVILION ZE5500 LAPTOP COMPUTER P4 2300 Mhz, with some miner problems, someone with technical skills will be able to fix this problem and have itself a great laptop. The 2 miner problems are the LCD screen when turned on is completely WHITE, i have no idea where to look to resolve this problem and prefer not to take apart the laptop as i just might end up with allot of screws and with more problems. Then 2nd problem is the hard drive, it might be degrading. So you?re left with changing 2 parts or maybe just fixing one and replacing the other - to have yourself a full functioning laptop. I have tested the laptop by connecting it to external Monitor, as you can see in the images above i have connected to external Monitor and took shoots of the BIOS screen; btw there is no password on the BIOS and no worries about that. Someone told me that it might be an easy fix, that the inverter needs to be changed, that would cost less then $30, for a 20GB HD again you pay $20, this will get you a nice laptop.
