This 1960 s Royal Crown is the perfect fixed gear for riding around the city, and it it will fit someone between 5 and 5 5 . The English-made black lugged steel frame was originally a 3-speed, which makes it ideal for street track set up; the geometry of a 3 speed combines the sleek drivechain and narrow rear triangle of a track frame with the more comfortable seat tube angle and fork rake of a road bike. This bike has been completely overhauled for street fixed riding, with a new bottom bracket and all new bearings, and it rides like a dream. It comes with a new Sugino crankset, new aluminum alloy stem and seatpost, new Nitto bullhorn handlebars with new Tectro BMX-style brake lever, new Dia Compe sidepull front brake and cables, and new HTI platform pedals. The bike includes a choice of wheelsets: converted hub w/ new welded cog and lockring and aluminum alloy rims, $200 for the complete bike; or new track wheelset with Alex rims and Sovos flip-flop hub (fixed gear on one side, freewheel on the other) complete with brand new Kevlar tires, for $300 for the complete bike.
