I have an early 90s all original Mongoose Expert Pro( race ready Cromo frame) for sale I just recently tuned it all up and everything works and rides immaculately. You might need new brake pads...they are the original and lack the bite they had when new. The stickers on the down tube and top tube are in great shape(TT looks brandnew as well as the one one handle bars!) I removed the stickers from the fork since they were peeling off anyway. Brake levers are Lee Chi as is the front brake..the rear are Shimano (cantilever/linear? not sure which is the right term for them) and the rims are alum. Alex Rims; which are true and straight......chain ring is 2-piece as well...There is a tear in the seat. There s little to no rust...if there was it s only topical and will come off with some rubbing compound or cleaner wax. But I really don t believe there s any rust at all...It s shiney and ready to ride...BTW, In the picture there are pads on the bike, I ve taken them off since..they aren t the originals...I also took off the reflectors.
